It gives us a single set of expectations across our lines, geographies and career paths, and provides transparency on the skills we need as individuals to be successful and progress in our careers, now and in the future.</p><p>As a Manager in the Procurement Excellence team, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.</p><p>You will manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous process improvement. You will also play a key role in developing strategic supplier relationships and implementing procurement best practices.</p><p><strong>Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Managing sourcing projects from identification of requirements through to contract establishment and supplier onboarding</li><li>Conducting market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify optimal sourcing opportunities</li><li>Leading tender processes including pre-tender clarification meetings, commercial adjudication, and post-tender negotiations</li><li>Developing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships across various commodity categories</li><li>Ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout all procurement activities</li><li>Collaborating with internal stakeholders including finance, operations, and technical teams to deliver integrated procurement solutions</li><li>Monitoring supplier performance and managing contract lifecycle including variations, escalations, and renewals</li><li>Implementing process improvements and driving procurement transformation initiatives</li><li>Maintaining accurate procurement records and producing performance reports for management</li><li>Supporting business development by identifying cost reduction opportunities and strategic sourcing initiatives</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred skills and qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Finance/Supply Chain/Procurement/Project Management or NQF 7 equivalent (Desirable)</li><li>Enrolled for or completed procurement qualification such as CIPS would be advantageous</li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Experience with sourcing systems, particularly SAP Ariba or Coupa</li><li>Strong commercial knowledge of market commodities and services</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities</li><li>Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum years experience required:</strong></p><ul><li>7+ years of experience in:</li><li>Procurement or sourcing roles</li><li>Contract management and supplier relationship management</li><li>Commercial operations within a corporate environment</li></ul><p>We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive procurement team that drives commercial excellence and stakeholder value creation.</p>
