Amazon Implementation Specialist

Location: Remote in South Africa

Salary Range: 1300 - 2500 USD

Role Description:The Amazon Implementation Specialist is responsible for successfully launching and optimizing product listings on the Amazon marketplace (Seller Central and/or Vendor Central). This role ensures that product data, images, SEO content, and compliance requirements are correctly implemented and aligned with Amazon’s best practices. The specialist works closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, logistics, and customer service to ensure a seamless onboarding process and sustained performance of the brand’s presence on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new products and brands on Amazon.
  • Create, update, and optimize product listings, including titles, bullet points, descriptions, backend keywords, and A+ content.
  • Ensure all listings are fully compliant with Amazon's policies, category guidelines, and technical requirements.
  • Upload product catalogs via flat files or manual methods, ensuring accurate and complete data entry.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve listing issues, suppressed listings, and upload errors.
  • Monitor and maintain content integrity and accuracy across all listings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather assets such as images, videos, and product information.
  • Optimize product pages for search visibility (SEO) and conversion rate.
  • Manage relationships with Amazon support for case resolution and technical escalations.
  • Assist with setting up variations, FBA settings, and inventory tracking.
  • Stay updated on Amazon policy changes, tools, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience working with Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central.
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce fundamentals and digital merchandising.
  • Proficiency in flat file uploads and Amazon templates for product listings.
  • Knowledge of Amazon SEO and keyword optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with Amazon tools (Brand Registry, A+ Content, Vine, FBA dashboards, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Amazon advertising (PPC campaigns), brand analytics, or reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of other marketplaces (eBay, Walmart, Shopify, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, or ERP systems).
