We develop research and insights at the edges of onchain innovation, invest in early stage teams / projects in the crypto/web3 ecosystem, and support our portfolio of over 400 companies around the world.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support all aspects of the Ventures portfolio management, including:  <ul> <li>Keep up to date on investment holdings  - product development, major updates, tokenomics, etc.</li> <li>Assist in executing and documenting crypto asset operations, including the review, approval, execution, and reconciliation for onchain transactions (trading, staking, transfers, vesting) with internal stakeholders for monthly and quarterly reporting</li> </ul> </li> <li>Be an external presence in the crypto ecosystem, building connective tissue with founders, investors, and technical subject matter experts</li> <li>Look at CBV’s existing portfolio and propose onchain strategies to deploy CBV’s token holdings with an acceptable risk / reward</li> <li>Drive liquid token investments by building a sound investment thesis on the token / protocol (i.e. building long term position in a liquid token) </li> <li>Drive select special projects to continually improve and upgrade Coinbase Ventures operational platform and processes (i.e., “firm building”)</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in a highly analytical business role (e.g., investment banking, management consulting, VC/PE) focused on emerging technologies AND/OR technical building role (e.g., product, engineering) in crypto/web3</li> <li>Demonstrated passion and understanding across the crypto landscape with strong points of view and emerging investment judgment. </li> <li>Hands-on experience in crypto (i.e. building, trading, onchain yield strategies, etc). Understanding of token value accrual / tokenomics.</li> <li>Excellent writing skills and ability to distill complex topics into clear, easy to understand messaging</li> <li>Excellent organizational, analytic, problem solving, and communication skills</li> <li>Affinity to network, develop ecosystem relationships, and publish thought leadership / content</li> <li>Experience working with startup management teams and cross-functional execs, including product, engineering, legal, and finance</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience evaluating infrastructure or consumer/application layer products and business models (crypto or web2)</li> <li>Experience at top-tier venture capital firm and/or crypto specific company</li> <li>Investing experience is a plus</li> <li>Data Analysis and/or Engineering experience, preferably in or with blockchains (e.g., faculty with Dune, Nansen, other blockchain data tools)</li> </ul> <p>Job #: P70938</p> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Pay Transparency Notice:</strong> Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below.
