Content Manager (Digital Content Operations) – UK Based, Remote

We are partnering with a leading global FMCG brand’s European creative studio to recruit a Content Manager responsible for centralising and managing digital content operations across 27 countries. This remote, ongoing role supports iconic FMCG personal care brands, working within a dynamic team across eCommerce, website, and eCRM channels, delivering digital content throughout Europe. This new position strengthens the team’s capability to ensure content is efficiently managed and delivered to the highest standard.

Role Overview:

You will oversee the quality and organisation of digital content across Europe, ensuring eCommerce content is accurately uploaded and maintained. You will enhance the Product Information Management (PIM) system by troubleshooting issues, training teams, and developing new processes. This hands-on role combines strategic input with practical delivery, including designing workflows, driving adoption across markets, and acting as the key link between local teams and technical specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the transition from a decentralised model, where individual countries managed their own data, to a centralised PIM service

  • Design and implement new workflows, playing a pivotal role in the European roll-out

  • Develop and improve processes to ensure seamless content operations

  • Serve as a “Digital Librarian” by uploading localised eCommerce content across 27 countries

  • Manage archiving and removal of outdated assets in collaboration with teams

  • Maintain content libraries to ensure they are well-organised and accessible

  • Oversee daily content operations and uploads

  • Collaborate with local markets to share system updates and support the community of PIM champions

  • Provide guidance on best practises for content management systems and data hygiene

  • Manage new and existing processes to ensure eCommerce content is successfully delivered to retail partners

  • Gather feedback from local teams and relay essential information to technical teams for system improvements

  • Monitor approval processes to ensure timely content publication

  • Act as liaison between regional markets and central technical teams

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with CMS, PIM platforms, or digital commerce content management

  • Background in data analysis or digital content operations

  • Proven experience managing content across multiple markets or regions

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce content and digital asset management

  • Proficient in Google Sheets for reporting and data handling

  • Comfortable working with digital platforms and content management systems

  • Experience in developing and implementing new processes
